  • LAURA SCUDDER
Laura Scudder was an early female entrepreneur. In 1926 she began merchandizing the potato chips her family loved. A true business pioneer, Ms Scudder was the first to begin marketing potato chips in wax paper bags. This simple innovation allowed potato chips to be mass marketed. She also was the first to date her products, thus originating freshness dating.
